Daniel McGean is a native of Ingonish, Nova Scotia. Mr. McGean received a Diploma in Engineering from Saint Mary’s University in 1986. Mr. McGean received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from McGill University in 1990.

Mr. McGean is a member of the Nova Scotia Association of Architects (Intern), and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada .

Post graduation, Mr. McGean joined a Nova Scotia architectural firm, where he accumulated years of experience in regional building design and construction, in a broad range of building typologies, some of which are as follows:

A recent career milestone for Mr. McGean was the opportunity to participate in the planning, development, and construction phases of the award-winning Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre. This is a multi-purpose facility, designed to accommodate civic, cultural, and recreational facilities under one roof, while adding to the community services already present in the Strait Area Educational and Recreational Centre. Green Building issues, creating a strong street presence, and reinforcing the community centre, are some of the issues that were addressed in this design.

Mr. McGean joined the team of Trifos Design Consultants in January, 2009. His experience in all aspects of project delivery has already proven to be a significant contribution to the development of some of the most recent projects at Trifos Design Consultants, including the following:
